Is the idiom "There are lees to every wine" heard/used in Britain?

Is the idiom

Apparently lees are sediment that settles at the bottom of a wine cask ie. the dregs.

This idiom basically means that every wine has dregs.

Personally, I have never heard of this idiom. It might be used by people who are vintners or who work in viticulture. It's definitely not in common use
